Responsibilities
Develop and articulate clear plans to develop content strategies that align with the product's goals and user needs and meet team performance
Perform more-complex work assignments using highly specialized content strategy knowledge and advanced business expertise
Lead some projects or programs within the content design function and may coordinate activities of others
Design process, product, and service improvements based on understanding of user needs and industry trends
Determine methods and procedures on content design strategies that may impact activities of others
Drive content design and storytelling across accelerator projects, helping define the narrative and user value for initiatives in biometrics, PayPal, Venmo, and the merchant experience
Partner with design, research, product, and marketing to build frameworks that bring consistency and efficiency to how we tell our product stories
Lead narrative development for strategic programs, crafting stories that communicate customer insights and business impact to senior leadership
Translate early-stage ideas into clear, testable stories and handoff frameworks for product teams to scale
Help create systems and templates that reduce subjectivity in copy reviews and speed up team alignment
Champion clarity and coherence in every artifact, whether a product narrative, concept deck, or UX flow
Mentor and inspire collaborators in storytelling, systems thinking, and design communication
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
8+ years in content design, UX writing, or related content/storytelling roles
Minimum 5 years specifically dedicated to content design/UX writing for in-product experiences
A track record of shaping early-stage ideas into scalable systems and stories
Strong systems thinker with experience creating content systems and frameworks
Exceptional storyteller who can translate complexity into clarity for diverse audiences (from executives to engineers)
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving fast with a 'fail up' mindset
Skilled at presenting, persuading, and partnering—across PM, PD, CD, and leadership teams
Deep curiosity and collaboration skills; thrives in tight-knit, cross-functional environments
Preferred
Previous experience on an internal innovation lab/accelerator team
Background in fintech, biometrics, commerce, or product ecosystems with transactional or marketplace elements preferred
Background spanning agency, innovation lab, and in-house experience
