Responsibilities
Serve as the primary change manager for high-impact projects by planning and executing comprehensive change management strategies. Responsibilities include conducting change impact assessments, developing tailored change and communication plans that emphasize user benefits and foster engagement, and ensuring clear, consistent, and motivating messaging across all channels
Facilitate stakeholder buy-in, proactively address resistance, evaluate the effectiveness of change initiatives, and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and sustained outcomes
Collaborate with project managers related to OCM to seamlessly integrate change management activities into project initiatives. This includes embedding OCM strategies into project plans, monitoring and reporting on change management progress across multiple projects, and ensuring consistent application of change management practices throughout the department
Maintain a comprehensive Center of Practice for Organizational Change Management within the Enterprise Technology and Innovation department. Responsibilities include regularly updating best practices, methodologies, and tools, as well as providing training resources and ongoing support to staff to promote the effective application of change management principles across the organization
Develop departmental communication strategies, standards, and templates, along with compelling strategic communications on behalf of senior leadership for both internal and external audiences. This includes crafting clear, consistent messaging that aligns with organizational goals and enhances engagement across all stakeholder groups
Qualification
Required
Four years in either organizational change management, communications, project management, or business analysis, preferably within a government or large enterprise setting
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Public Administration, or an IT related field
An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis
Preferred
Certification in change management (e.g., Prosci, ACMP) is preferred
Master's Degree in Business Administration
Proven experience as a communications specialist
Experience working in a technical environment
Experience working with local or state government
