Responsibilities

Lead the sales and marketing efforts for The Nucor Plate Group in the South Texas and Louisiana territory

Quoting and securing business: spot and contract, providing forecasts, and recommending new business and customers

Supporting the Plate Group and Nucor Enterprise’s strategic growth initiatives

Participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork

Demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline)

Proven experience in steel plate sales or a related industrial sales environment

Must be willing to relocate

Candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times

Frequent travel required, approximately 50–75% of the time

Must be able to travel by car and airplane as needed

Regular exposure to heavy manufacturing and industrial environments, including steel mill operations

Presence in areas with high temperatures, loud noise, dust, and moving machinery

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots may be necessary during site visits
