ABB is a global market leader in energy distribution solutions, and they are seeking a Test Engineering Technician. In this role, you will conduct testing and verification activities for systems and products, providing technical support and preparing project test documentation.

Responsibilities

Executing testing according to schedule

Making risk assessments to assure safe and cybersecure systems of work and taking appropriate actions

Ensuring all applicable requirements, maintains test reports and certificates that prove compliance with required and applicable standards, market, or regulatory requirements in line with customer specifications, legal, or ABB internal requirements

Maintaining a network of engineering professionals and sharing best practices across different projects

Qualification

Required

Associates degree in a technical field (electrical preferred) or electrical/electronics certification

2+ years experience in an electrical field (electrical test environment preferred)

Proven competency working with 3 phase power systems and the electrification power protection sector

Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics

Proven experience using electrical measurement equipment in electrical testing environments

You are passionate about contributing to the development of production and safety processes used in an industrial environment

Candidates must already have a work authorization that allows them to work for ABB in the United States
