Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and related technologies
Ensure smooth operation of mainframe systems through updates and enhancements
Perform unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution
Work closely with business analysts, system engineers, and cross-functional teams to meet business requirements
Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support materials
Optimize application performance and system efficiency
Qualification
Required
Strong experience with Mainframe technologies
COBOL, CICS, DB2, JCL
Experience with batch and online processing environments
Application Development: Design, develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL and related technologies
System Maintenance: Ensure smooth operation of mainframe systems through updates and enhancements
Testing & Debugging: Perform unit testing, debugging, and issue resolution
Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, system engineers, and cross-functional teams to meet business requirements
Documentation: Prepare and maintain technical documentation and support materials
Performance Tuning: Optimize application performance and system efficiency
Languages: COBOL, JCL, SQL, Assembler
Tools/Environments: CICS, DB2, VSAM, z/OS, ISPF, Mainframe Utilities
Concepts: SDLC, batch & online processing, data analysis, system integration
