Program Coordinator
Howard University is seeking a Program Coordinator to support the HPS Center for Financial Excellence. The role involves coordinating co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, providing career guidance to students, and managing program logistics to ensure the success of the center's initiatives.

Responsibilities
Coordinates all aspects of the Center’s program tracks, including recruitment, placement, orientation, and evaluation
Works closely with the Associate Director of Operations and exercises independent judgement in the identification and facilitation of workshops, skills-based career trainings and certifications
Provides career guidance to students, assisting them in identifying suitable internship opportunities based on their academic interests and career goals
Coordinate activities of the Center with interrelated activities of other programs to ensure optimum efficiency of services
Monitors and assesses the progress and quality of internships, collecting feedback from students, employers, and faculty to enhance the overall experience
Develop, implement, and maintain a tracking system to collect career-related post-graduation early career data of the Center’s program participants
Market and execute Center related workshops, meetings or conferences, coordinate logistics, scheduling and participant communications
Maintain the upkeep of the Center’s website and social media presence
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to serve as chaperone to on-site and off-site student events and trips
Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or five (5) years of professional experience in the finance services industry
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Work Day database experience; familiarity with event planning strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects efficiently, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives
Ability to establish, foster, and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates the ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members and students
Able to think critically and adapt to changing circumstances to solve complex problems
Skilled in gathering, interpreting, and presenting data to support informed decision-making
Preferred
Familiarity with event planning strongly preferred
