RTP Company is a global compounder of custom engineered thermoplastics, headquartered in Winona, Minnesota. They are seeking a Quality Assurance Technician responsible for testing and inspecting injection molded specimens and pellet samples to ensure product quality and compliance with safety protocols.

Responsibilities

Perform required testing of RTP plastics: Typical testing includes a variety of mechanical properties along with conductivity, flame retardant, ash, moisture, flow, and contamination inspections

Perform injection molding on test specimens, panels, and pucks

Follow all safety and quality protocols

Maintain accurate records of all testing performed

Collaborate with QA Manager and to continually work towards the highest quality products

Participate in training, retraining, and continual improvement processes and methods

Maintain departmental housekeeping standards

Other duties as assigned

Qualification

Thermoplastic injection moldingPlastics mechanical testingBasic mathematical calculationsAttention to detailBasic computer skillsEnglish language proficiency

Required

Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work process, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment

Excellent attention to detail required

Ability to perform basic mathematical testing calculations

Basic computer skills required

Ability to read and follow manuals and procedures

Must be dependable and have excellent attendance

Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed

Willing and able to work in temperature extremes – hot and cold

Must be able to read, write, and speak English
