Responsibilities

Using in-house software tools develop technical solutions for new subsea telecom cable systems based on Customers’ Requirements

Coordinate internal teams in preparing technical proposals and ensure on time delivery

Define project scope for R&D Engineers and assist Sales in developing bid strategy

Support technical discussions with the Customers during new system bids and in project implementation

Work with the PLM on defining product features needed for a given system bid

Provide technical support to Sales during contract negotiations

Assist in developing and testing software tools, templates and calculators

Required

BS in Electrical Engineering or related field is required

Course work and/or experience in fiber optics and telecommunications

Strong presentation skills and ability to manage multiple priorities are essential

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

International and domestic travel will be required at times

Preferred

MS in Electrical Engineering or related field

Understanding of optical networking concepts and building blocks, such as coherent optical transmission, DWDM, transponder, ROADM, EDFA/Raman amplification
