SXSW is seeking a Seasonal Tech Production Coordinator to assist with the technical production of their events. The role involves setting up, distributing, and maintaining technical equipment while providing support and troubleshooting for staff on-site.

Responsibilities

Imaging and configuring phones, laptops, and tablets

Perform equipment quality assurance to ensure smooth operation for users

Prep and organization of equipment to efficiently move on-site

Off-site shifts, prepping gear at our storage units

Distributing technical equipment to staff

Provide 1st and 2nd tier support for on-site technical issues

Set up various production areas with power and Ethernet

Transport technical equipment to various venues around the event

Drive various production vehicles (box truck, cargo van, etc)

Adhere to the production schedule to ensure deliverables are met

Required

Previous experience in a similar role

Familiarity with MacOS and iOS

Ability to follow diagrams/floor plans

Comfortable leading a team to accomplish tasks

Proficiency with Google Docs and Microsoft Office

Ability to remain calm and communicate effectively in high-pressure situations

Experience with the administration of software

Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a desk and working on a computer

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, as needed

Operation of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers

May require occasional bending, reaching, kneeling, or climbing stairs

Ability to work outdoors, including exposure to varying temperatures or noise levels

Must be available to work additional hours from January through March, including evenings and weekends

Must also be available for the March event, which will have extended on-site working hours
