Responsibilities

Use our in-house programming language to code questions into our online system where they will be seen online by tens of thousands of students and teachers

Be thoughtful about the student experience and proactively alert the project manager about questions that don’t translate well into a digital platform

Maintain a consistent approach to answer acceptance while being mindful of how the question will be integrated into the instructors’ curricula

Identify potential edge cases in answer acceptance and test for how well the question works

Identify the Common Core State Standards that apply to each question

Qualification

JavaScriptMathematics degreeLaTeXCommon Core standardsTeaching experienceOnline math software

Required

Experience with basic computer programming in any language (ideally JavaScript)

Familiarity with LaTeX

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field

Tutoring or teaching experience in mathematics is a plus

Experience with online mathematics homework software is a plus

Preferred

Familiarity with Common Core curriculum and standards
