Global Impact is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage accounting information and generate financial reports for international and grant recipient clients. The role involves overseeing month-end and year-end closing processes, vendor management, and serving as the main point of contact for client financial needs.

Responsibilities

Month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations and journal entries

Annual budgets and ad hoc reports

Reviewing, approving, and monitoring accounts payable and receivables

Vendor management, including due diligence and contracting

Tracking restricted funder grants including monthly BvA reports

Serving as the main point of contact for client financial needs: project management support, vendor and sub-grantee contracts, reporting, auditing, and preparing 990 and related tax forms

Operational needs: liaising with internal departments such as IT and HR/Payroll

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration

4+ years of experience in public and nonprofit accounting

Proficient in the use of Excel, Office 365, QuickBooks Online and/or NetSuite, Bill.com, and banking platforms

Preferred

CPA or CPA candidate

Hands-on experience with client relations, grant management and tracking

Experience with international nonprofit organizations
