Administrative Assistant II - Workers’ Compensation.
The State of Colorado is looking for an Administrative Assistant II to join the Workers' Compensation Unit within the Office of the Attorney General. This role involves providing administrative support to attorneys and paralegals, managing communications, and maintaining case files in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
Assists Unit attorneys and paralegals with creating, producing, proofreading, and formatting correspondence, other documents and reports
Acts as liaison for legal services requests from clients, the public and/or court personnel by telephone and through written communication
Serves as the gatekeeper for the flow of written, electronic, and telephonic communications and ensuring that emergency matters are promptly referred to the appropriate attorney and paralegals
Processes, distributes and maintains electronic case files for the unit by preparing all case folders for new cases, updating pleading and correspondence indices, organizing physical and electronic correspondence files, and organizing file documents
Archives and closes cases using office and section policies and procedures
Coordinates resolution of computer and technology problems for the unit
Transmits documents and copies to the appropriate recipients
Files documents in court
Provides backup for other support staff work in the Section when needed or when another administrative assistant is out of the office
Qualification
Required
Two years of experience providing general clerical, administrative, or office support as the main function of the job. This experience must include providing support to multiple staff at a time
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience providing general clerical, administrative, or office support as the main function of the job equal to two years. Education may only substitute for one year. Qualified applicants will demonstrate at least one year of experience providing general clerical, administrative, or office support as the main function of the job to qualify. This experience must include providing support to multiple staff at a time
Requires proficiency with MS Office applications
Requires familiarity with and comfortable using technology
Requires outstanding organizational skills and demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
Applicants must pass a thorough background investigation prior to appointment
Colorado Department of Law participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with your Form I-9 information to confirm that you are authorized to work in the U.S
Preferred
General clerical experience in a law office or legal setting, including experience supporting attorneys with the litigation process, including assembling documents and exhibits for pleadings/court filings and organizing case files
Experience organizing documents and electronic file systems
