The role involves working with cross-functional teams to align supplier selection and cost management, as well as developing supply chain strategies for new product development and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

Interface with NPI teams to align on preferred strategic suppliers for new program developments

Evaluate technology life cycle to ensure future availability of material

Develop and implement supplier risk mitigation plans for material availability

Develop supply chain strategies to meet or exceed material cost objectives for program success

Oversee development and implementation of sourcing strategies for components, subcontracted items, and contract manufacturers

Lead and facilitate product focused improvement events to advance cost, quality, and producibility goals

Participate as member of commodity-based Technology Team as applicable

Required

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience

Experience in supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or related industry

Preferred

SAP experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment working with direct production materials

Project management, organizational and prioritization skills

Interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the organization as a contact on projects and gain cooperation of others

Skills in Lean, Six Sigma, ACE, or CORE
