Director of Sales Enablement

Oats Overnight is on a mission to build a generational CPG brand, and they are seeking a Director of Sales Enablement to create systems, stories, and tools for the sales team. This role involves data analysis, storytelling, and collaboration with various teams to drive sales and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

Own how consumption, shopper, and performance data show up in sales conversations
Translate messy, imperfect data into clear, retailer-ready stories
Build simple frameworks to talk velocity, trial, repeat, and incrementality
Develop and evolve our core sales narrative
Create flexible decks, one-pagers, and tools reps can actually use
Keep storytelling tight, data driven, and buyer-focused
Partner with Marketing to translate campaigns and promos into sell-in materials
Build clear playbooks for resets, launches, and key retail moments
Ensure what we sell works on shelf
Lead connectivity across organization to bring new core innovation items to life
Lead commercialization stories for core innovation items
Help sales teams confidently sell what’s new
Drive annual selling process & cycle for retail team
Lead annual October-Fest sales meeting – to set up for the coming year, preview core innovation, and kick off financial planning
Help the sales team navigate the annual budget planning process to include net sales goals along with detailed shopper marketing and trade investment plans by channel and customer
Develop Trade Analytics to maximize display at aligned investment levels
Maximize Tentpole moments to maximize our investments at key seasonality moments
Partner closely with finance for investment decisions in developing promotions, new businesses and investment opportunities focused on growth

Required

Minimum of 12+ years of experience in the food industry with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 5+ years leading professional level (salaried) employees or teams
Proven success leading and building key retail customer relationships while fostering existing ones
Experience creating channel-level sales strategies, with successful implementation, cross-functional partnership and retail execution (similar skills to a traditional Product Sales Manager role)
Strong understanding of major food chain retailers (mix of WM, Target, Kroger, Club, Alb/Sfwy)
Prior success across both category management and trade marketing support of key customers
Experience in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient negotiator
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas, and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams
Occasional Travel (1-2 times per quarter)
Someone that can partner and influence at all different levels and assumes positive intent to move forward projects and priorities smoothly
Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast-moving environment
A relentless drive to get things done underpinned by the discipline of effective project management skills
Flexible, willing, and quick to learn new processes, new technology, and new ways of thinking
