Jefferson Health is a nationally ranked health care system dedicated to providing high-quality clinical care and education. They are seeking a Radiology Tech Associate to perform a variety of routine duties, assist in radiological rooms, and support patient care functions in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson

Assist in Radiological rooms by giving blankets, bedpans, clothing changes, etc. to the patient and assist the technologists as needed

Inspect and replenish stock and linen in all patient care areas. Ensures adequate inventory of stock & non-stock supplies. Prepare the examination room for the next procedure

Provides back-up to the front office Registrars and film room staff and perform numerous “special projects” and clean-up tasks as assigned

Trains new transporters/escorts in proper patient care techniques. Procures appropriate patient documentation prior to leaving the nursing floor

Performs all other related duties as assigned

Required

High school graduate or GED equivalent

Any combination of training and/or experience that will allow the incumbent to perform the listed duties

CPR Certification is required

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Physical ability to lift and position patients and assist with patient transfers utilizing beds, wheelchairs or stretchers

Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects and meets objectives and deadlines

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and privacy

Preferred

Medical terminology knowledge preferred

Previous medical office experience is desired
