Fire Protection Technician, Data Center

Responsibilities

Install, inspect and configure fire alarm, special hazard, and water-based suppression systems and components within the facility, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory requirements
Repair, replace and service fire alarm, special hazard, and water-based system equipment as needed if/when new issues become present within the systems
Assist with Fire Marshal final walks and commissioning of fire alarm, special hazard and water-based suppression systems
Conduct quarterly, semi-annual, and annual inspections of all fire systems per NFPA and IFC standards
Accurately complete service reports, inspection forms, and maintenance logs, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements

Required

3 years of experience in the installation, maintenance and service of fire alarm, special hazard and water-based fire suppression systems
RME-I, FAL and FEL required
Proficient in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, as well as basic knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and special hazard equipment
Proficient in understanding programming aspect of fire alarm systems
Proficient in sprinkler pipe fitting and familiarity in special hazard equipment solenoids, actuators, and pressure switches

Preferred

RME and NICET certifications are preferred, but not required
Notifier certified preferred
