Non-Tenure Track Faculty and Program Director, Paralegal Studies
Roosevelt University is inviting applications for a full-time non-tenure track faculty and program director position in the Paralegal Studies Program starting in Fall 2026. The role involves teaching courses, managing the program, ensuring compliance with ABA guidelines, and contributing to departmental activities.

Responsibilities
Teaching: two to four paralegal courses per year; subject matter includes all aspects of paralegal studies, including, but not limited to legal ethics, legal research, legal writing, civil litigation, legal technology, and more
Program Development and Management: including compliance with American Bar Association Guidelines for the Approval of Paralegal Education Programs, which includes preparation of self-evaluation reports and coordination of ABA site visits
Curriculum Development and Hiring of Faculty
Student Recruitment and Advising
Manage program’s budget
Supervise program’s assistant director and adjunct faculty staff, including required bi-annual meetings of all faculty
Oversee program’s career development services, including internship program
University service, including: participate in departmental, college, and university committees and governance; and support community engagement and student recruitment initiatives
Qualification
Required
Juris Doctorate, and no less than three (3) years of work experience in the legal field; OR Bachelor's degree with completion of formal paralegal education program and no less than five (5) years of work experience in the legal field
Have experience working with or as a paralegal
Demonstrated experience in, and strong commitment to teaching and mentoring at the college level
