The Project Engineer for Bridges & Structures will be responsible for design calculations, technical reports, and engineering plans while collaborating with project managers and mentoring junior staff to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the planning and distribution of discipline-specific work, and adherence to the schedule and budget on projects

Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation

Assists with the development of scope of work and level of effort for projects and/or assignments within discipline

Oversees completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline. Guides and mentors team to overall project objectives

Coordinates technical aspects of project with client counterpart and teaming partners at staff level for work within the discipline

Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects

Performs other duties as assigned

Qualification

Bachelor's degree in EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) certificationStructural design experienceTransportation infrastructure projectsDesign-build project deliveryMentoring junior engineersHigh quality deliverablesClient coordination

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or

Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or

PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience

Preferred

Master's degree in Engineering, and 6 years relevant experience with transportation infrastructure projects and clients

Professional Engineer (PE) certification in MA and RI, or ability to obtain licensure within 6-months

Structural design experience for bridge/structure rehabilitation and replacement projects in the Northeast

Demonstrated understanding of applicable design codes and client requirements with state/local departments of transportation (i.e. MassDOT, MBTA, Massport, and RIDOT)

Project experience with traditional and alternative (design-build) project delivery methods
