Contract Setup Analyst
Montrose Environmental Group is a leading environmental solutions company that helps protect essential natural resources. As a Contract Setup Analyst, you will be responsible for contract intake, management, and communication, ensuring efficiency in the contract setup process and supporting the Finance team.

Responsibilities
Receive and review incoming revenue contract requests from project managers
Analyze contract terms and conditions for completeness and accuracy
Identify and escalate any potential risks or areas requiring clarification
Utilize Workday to efficiently store, track, and manage contracts
Input contract data accurately and maintain detailed records
Monitor projects-at-risk, providing feedback to operations on requirements to convert to billable projects
Monitor contract value relative to revenue recognized, ensuring change orders are obtained in advance to ensure continuity of revenue recognition
Generate reports on contracts as needed
Support management with revenue analysis and investigation
Communicate effectively with internal and external parties regarding contract updates, clarifications, and approvals
Serve as a point of contact for questions related to the revenue contract setup process
Continuously identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the contract setup process
Assist in developing and implementing new procedures and best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of experience in project accounting, financial management, engineering or construction consulting, or related roles, preferably in a project-based environment
Understanding of accounting principles and practices, including revenue recognition, cost accounting, and project budgeting
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, with experience in project accounting modules preferred. Workday experience is an asset
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A strong attention to detail, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Displays a positive attitude with a willingness to learn
