EFT Specialist

OAS FCU is seeking an EFT Specialist to manage all fund transfers including wire and ACH transfer files. The role involves processing transactions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and addressing member inquiries in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Process incoming Domestic and International wire origination requests within the designated time frame
Contact members for verification/validation of new recipients and amounts
Contact member for supporting documents action when amounts exceed a designated threshold
Process incoming wire transfers
Research, process, and post member’s error resolutions per Regulation E
Monitor and respond to the EFT Department emails and respond as needed
Respond to member inquiries on trace requests, SWIFT confirmation and wire recalls
Maintain the required Excel worksheet for the respective process
Ensure and verify all manual postings are accurate
Assist and rotate ACH daily functions to include processing, exception, returns, GL posting and member inquiries
For auditing purposes, ensure all compliance documents and packages are stored/saved as instructed
Maintain knowledge of Regs related to all payment-related functions
Recognize and report unauthorized attempts to gain member information
Required to work with auditors and examiners as needed
Respond to member’s disputes following Reg E guidelines
Maintain familiarity with and follow all policies, procedures and processes which have been established to meet compliance requirements of all applicable federal regulations
Process Bill Payer requests
Review mobile deposited checks for accuracy
Assist with testing of new products and services

Required

A high school diploma with equivalent level of experience
2+ yrs experience in a financial institution or business-related environment
Must possess a high level of attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy of work
Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with highly sensitive, complex, and confidential issues and situations

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree in business related field
AAP or NCP Certification
Bilingual Spanish Speaking
