They are seeking a Maintenance Intern to support the Packaging and Processing department in a yogurt manufacturing plant by updating maintenance tasks and improving processes within the maintenance department.

Responsibilities
Providing leadership and direction on process improvement
Owning assigned areas and tasks
Working with counterparts, managers, maintenance mechanics and maintenance leaders
Reviewing CMMS data and proposing changes to improve reliability
Conducting data studies on breakdown/Emergency Work Orders
Developing new process of Breakdown Elimination
Creating SOPs for new processes and procedures
Leading and participating in continuous improvement efforts
Qualification
Required
You must be a Junior or Senior, or recent graduate of, an Engineering degree program
Knowledge of high-speed packaging systems design and integrated automation and controls technology
Must be self-motivated, have good mechanical aptitude and the ability to work well with others
Ability to operate in a team environment and adapt in a changing work environment
Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a proven ability to handle multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees at all levels, including vendors, janitorial, management, and executives
Ability to follow direction and work independently, demonstrating self-management and the ability to work well with varying degrees of supervision
Excelling written and verbal communication skills
Strong math, computer and logic skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines within specific time constraints
Preferred
Previous work experience in food manufacturing is preferred, but not required
