Director/ExecutiveWomenful Voice is dedicated to advocating for the needs of vulnerable girls and women. As a Board Member, you will provide strategic guidance and governance to advance the organization's mission, focusing on financial sustainability and fundraising efforts.

Responsibilities
Actively engage in board meetings, offering strategic insights and informed decision-making
Ensure strong governance practices, including regular evaluation and improvement of board policies
Drive board diversity and recruitment, identifying and mentoring new directors to strengthen leadership
Oversee financial health, approving budgets, audits, and major organizational decisions
Monitor organizational performance, ensuring alignment with mission-driven goals and metrics
Support CEO leadership, contributing to performance evaluations and strategic direction
Make Womenful Voice a top philanthropic priority with a minimum annual gift of $1,000 (or equivalent fundraising efforts)
Lead and support fundraising initiatives, securing major gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations
Leverage personal and professional networks to expand donor engagement and revenue streams
Serve a three-year term, with the possibility of re-appointment for one additional term
Attend quarterly board meetings and participate in committee meetings as necessary
Attend quarterly board meetings (prepared and engaged)
Review financial reports and organizational performance
Advise on strategic decisions (programs, partnerships, growth)
Help fundraise (donate personally + connect to potential donors)
Support the CEO (guidance, feedback, and advocacy)
Uphold the mission (ensure programs align with goals)
Approve annual budget
Recruit new board members
Evaluate CEO (periodically)

Qualification
Required
Proven nonprofit board leadership (prior board or board chair experience required)
Executive-level experience in business, philanthropy, government, or the nonprofit sector
Strong fundraising background, with a track record of securing significant donations
Deep passion for women's empowerment, ideally with personal or professional connections to the cause
Exceptional relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholders
Strategic thinker with sound judgment, integrity, and a commitment to ethical leadership
Strong communicator, capable of representing Womenful Voice with credibility and passion
