Responsibilities

Serve as the firm’s internal legal advisor on compliance and professional responsibility matters, including the client intake and engagement process

Review and provide guidance on engagement letters, client communications, and referral processes to ensure compliance with California law and professional standards

Conduct and review conflict checks and related waivers, providing guidance on conflict avoidance and resolution

Review and approve advertising and marketing materials (digital, print, social media) to ensure compliance with legal ethics rules and firm policies

Work closely with General Counsel to interpret and implement compliance rules and to update firm policies as legal standards evolve

Monitor regulatory and ethics developments affecting attorney advertising and communications

Provide training or guidance to internal teams on compliance best practices
