Quality Assurance Tech 2nd Shift
Oats Overnight is on a mission to build a generational CPG brand, focusing on high-protein, drinkable oatmeal. The Quality Assurance Technician – 2nd Shift will support operations by ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards, conducting inspections, and collaborating with plant personnel.

Responsibilities
Be a food safety and quality champion, assisting Operations in GMP and SOP compliance
Help ensure compliance with product safety, consistency, and quality standards in alignment with the Oats Overnight Food Safety Plan
Routinely interact with plant personnel to provide quality and safety-related information
Perform inspections and real-time sanitation checks using rapid result testing
Inspect incoming shipments and materials
Sample ingredients and products using correct sampling techniques
Maintain records of tests, audits, and other quality procedures to ensure accurate documentation
Collaborate with other departments to identify and address food safety risks throughout the production process with other food safety team members
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and promote food safety throughout the facility
Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary
Qualification
Required
1–5 years of experience in food manufacturing or quality assurance
High school diploma required
Experience supporting a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Conscientious, reliable, and detail-oriented
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
Computer proficiency with MS Office
Razor-sharp problem-solving skills and the ability to assess and adapt quickly
Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
Must be able to read and write English
Flexible, willing, and quick to learn new processes, new technology, and new ways of thinking
Must be able to work with food ingredients, including exposure to food allergens
Must be able to lift 20–50 pounds occasionally, and/or 10–25 pounds frequently, to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects
Prolonged standing and walking, with the ability to walk up to 8 hours
Required use of hands, fingers, arms, and the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must be able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
Must be able to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards
