Responsibilities

The most critical requirement is solid mainframe experience. Candidates must be comfortable navigating and working within a mainframe environment

Exposure to database activity monitoring is important, specifically concepts around database logging or event monitoring

IBM Guardium expertise is preferred. A candidate does not need to be a Guardium SME, as long as they have the foundational background to learn it

The role requires understanding how the z/OS Guardium agent extracts database activity (DB2, IMS, etc.) and how the Linux-based Guardium collector receives, processes, and forwards that data to the cyber team

The ideal candidate can act as a liaison, effectively 'speaking multiple languages' across mainframe, databases, Linux, and security tooling
