Senior Trade Marketing Manager/Shopper Marketing
Valvoline Global Operations is seeking a Senior Trade Marketing Manager to lead their Trade Marketing function for the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) business. This role involves overseeing a team, developing strategies for Emerging Channels, and partnering closely with Sales to execute a significant consumer promotions budget.

Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a team of four Trade Marketing Managers
Establish team priorities and enhance capabilities across promotion planning and execution
Grow and deepen Valvoline’s relationships with our key retailers, ensuring clear process understanding and communication for both internal and external partners to hit timelines
Build holistic, customer-specific marketing plans and promotional calendars, including development of creative across in-store merchandising, commercial, digital, retailer media network, and other communication touchpoints
Lead cross-functionally with Sales, Brand, Digital, and eCommerce to align plans, content, and messaging
Partner with National Promotions and Partnerships team to develop content for external customer meetings and the annual Valvoline National Sales Meeting to outline the upcoming year’s programs and priorities
Own, plan, and execute a seven-figure annual consumer promotions budget
Own strategy, planning, and implementation for Emerging Channels in partnership with Sales
Build scalable promotions and frameworks for managing a fragmented customer base
Identify whitespace opportunities and develop programs to grow promotion opportunities with retailers, improving year-over-year volumes
Partner with Category Management and Analytics teams to evaluate promotional effectiveness
Recommend improvements to pricing and promotional strategies
Utilize syndicated data, retailer POS, and media analytics to shape customer storytelling, especially during customer line reviews
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
5+ years of Trade Marketing, Brand Management, Customer Marketing, or Retail Marketing experience
Demonstrated experience developing holistic customer programs
Proven success managing trade budgets and optimizing investment returns
Strong leadership and people development
Process and detail-oriented
Deep expertise in trade marketing, shopper marketing, and promotional strategy
Strong analytical and financial acumen
Highly collaborative with strong customer communication skills
Preferred
MBA preferred
Experience in CPG, automotive aftermarket, or distributor networks preferred
Experience developing marketing programs with retailers
