Business Development Representative
OutScout is partnered with a fast-growing provider of risk and data solutions, helping organizations better understand and manage exposure to natural disasters. They are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to support growth by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential enterprise clients.
Responsibilities
Conduct targeted outreach to identify and qualify enterprise leads
Use email, phone, LinkedIn, and marketing campaigns to engage decision-makers across insurance, financial services, and related sectors
Research industries and tailor messaging to prospect needs
Build and manage a pipeline in the CRM
Partner with Account Executives on outreach strategy and account planning
Collaborate with Marketing to refine outbound messaging
Schedule discovery meetings and support early sales activities
Track outreach performance and optimize targeting
Map key stakeholders and support account development
Stay current on industry trends in climate risk and geospatial data
Participate in webinars and events as needed
Qualification
Required
1–3 years in business development, sales, or client-facing roles (ideally in SaaS, data, or geospatial tech)
Strong communication and research skills
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to outreach
Comfortable with CRM and sales tools
Collaborative mindset
Preferred
Interest in climate or data analytics
