The MxU Deployment Manager leads complex, multidisciplinary projects, managing schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication to enhance internet access globally.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage program management functions within the metro to include aspects of project initiation, planning, executing, controlling, and closing

Operate across myriad internal GFiber groups and external organizations to ready and implement operational processes

Lead process improvements that yield efficiency and efficacy gains throughout deployment and operations in the market

Manage project budgets, scheduling, planning and contractor resource assignment and track contractor performance including billing against budget and contract

Manage proposals, SOW’s, bids, scope definition, engineering design cycles and design review and approvals

Demonstrate sophisticated communication with internal stakeholders and GFiber partners to align objectives, streamline deployment workflows, and ensure a seamless end-to-end build experience

Required

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Telecommunications, a related field, or equivalent practical experience

5 years of experience in project/program management, vendor management and managing contractors, quality assurance, schedule commitments, and troubleshooting

Experience in successfully developing and managing contracts, invoicing, scheduling projects, cost engineering, budgeting, and forecasting costs

Preferred

8 years of experience with fiber network deployments, including experience with constructing new outside and inside plant fiber infrastructure, and 5 years of experience with MDU infrastructure

Familiar with GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and database management including AutoCAD, ESRI, and/or shape file functionality

Knowledge of network drawings, route maps and scopes of work and analyzing fiber test results and auditing projects for compliance with scopes of work

A deep understanding of inside and outside plant fiber optic network infrastructure, engineering design, FTTH Infrastructure, MDU design, and construction
