Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize infrastructure for AI model inference at scale
Lead the development and maintenance of production AI services and applications, including retrieval augmented generation (RAG), autonomous agents, and emerging technologies
Serve as the technical lead for AI infrastructure initiatives, coordinating efforts across integrated teams
Conduct regular one-on-ones and provide coaching, feedback, and support to assigned team members
Act as the team point of contact (POC) for contract administration and coordination activities
Navigate ambiguity and define solutions for complex, underspecified systems and requirements
Establish technical policies, standards, and governance frameworks where gaps exist
Drive adoption of new technologies and engineering best practices across teams
Implement and oversee monitoring, logging, and observability solutions for AI services
Ensure the availability, reliability, performance, and security of AI platform components
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple organizational and technical levels
Qualification
Required
Active Top Secret (TS/SCI) Clearance With Polygraph Is Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
12 years of experience in software development
Extensive experience designing, building, and operating large-scale, production-grade systems
Deep experience integrating systems across diverse technologies, platforms, and teams
Hands-on experience with cloud engineering in AWS
Advanced proficiency with Kubernetes administration, deployment patterns, and operational best practices
Strong Python development skills for building, maintaining, and operating production services
Experience implementing, scaling, and operating observability solutions (e.g., APM, OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus)
Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives, influence engineering direction, and drive adoption of new practices
Experience defining, implementing, and enforcing technical standards, policies, and governance frameworks
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with engineers, leadership, and external stakeholders
Ability to balance hands-on engineering work with technical leadership, coordination, and mentorship responsibilities
U.S citizenship required (green card holders and permanent residents are not eligible). Applicants selected will be required to obtain / maintain a government security clearance
