Founding SMB Account Executive (Full-Cycle Sales)
Confidential is a fast-scaling AI company in the K–12 space expanding its NYC GTM hub and hiring its first SMB Account Executives. In this full-cycle sales role, you will prospect, deliver demos, and close deals with private and independent schools while shaping the company’s sales culture and early revenue engine.
Responsibilities
Own the entire sales cycle: source pipeline, run discovery, lead demos, and close SMB deals
Collaborate closely with BDRs while also generating your own opportunities
Build trusted relationships with school leaders and technology administrators
Maintain precise pipeline management and consistently hit/exceed quotas
Provide detailed field feedback to inform messaging, GTM strategy, and product direction
Help establish the NYC sales culture and playbook as one of the first closing reps
Qualification
Required
1–2 years of SaaS closing experience with a record of exceeding quota
Strong discovery, demo, and consultative selling skills
High ownership mindset, strong organization, and bias toward action
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment
Excellent communication skills and relationship-building abilities
Preferred
EdTech sales experience
Familiarity with SIS/LMS systems and K–12 decision-making cycles
Experience with HubSpot, Apollo, Instantly, or similar GTM tools
