Senior Logistics Support Rep, Marine Corps Air Station New River

Responsibilities
The candidate must become a subject matter expert by developing skills, product knowledge, and capabilities to research and monitor usage and availability of required materials to support customer demand
The LSR advises internal and external stakeholders using information technology (IT) resources regarding maintenance planning, supply status and forecasting, PHS&T (packaging, handling, storage, and transportation), product information
The LSR reports and facilitates support for customer requests, inquiries, reports, and action plans for backorder reduction and expedited requests
The LSR is responsible for utilizing sound inventory practices to optimize resources and provide training as needed
Work directly with government and internal stakeholders to coordinate and execute an aligned global support approach to optimize our service delivery
Assist with the development, integration, and timely delivery of logistics products to improve war fighter readiness goals and targets through providing overwatch/early-warning/successful resolution to system and subsystem design issues supporting the execution of sustainment objectives
Provide logistics support capability required to operate and maintain the AH-1Z, UH-1Y aircraft and associated equipment
Serve as inventory control manager at assigned site and provide customer order status reports, estimated delivery dates and other requested information as needed
Coordination of lateral support across other MAG/MALS locations to resolve O-Level and I-Level material availability issues
Provide logistical support to customer by working with 3PL and internal support personnel to ensure timely execution of inventory receipts and expedites
Advise and act as consultant to customer in maintenance planning, supply, equipment, and other resources that support repairs
Become SME in internal Bell systems and Military systems, procedures, customer manuals and publications to enable acquisition of support materials
Identify current and potential material shortages, identify, and execute recovery plan, and provide status to interested parties
Analyze data pertaining to parts, supplies, or logistics involved in the packaging, shipping, and handling of Engineering Investigation, Quality Deficiency Reporting, or Hazardous Material reporting
Work with DLA to obtain open procurement lists, material readiness report, and shortage lists
Improve bill of materials accuracy support and gather feedback from customer on actual repair data
Perform technical research and gain product knowledge to provide customer support as needed
Attend internal and external meetings to support open requisitions and forecasting
Evaluate supply/maintenance procedures and recommend changes when necessary
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively brief management, customers, and large groups
All other duties as assigned and needed
Qualification
Required
5+ years of extensive military aviation logistics experience required
U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Familiar with US Navy and DoD supply and procurement standard operating procedures
Proficiency with MS Office, spreadsheet, and database applications along with excellent oral and writing skills
Preferred
Experience with military and/or commercial helicopters is preferred
Senior USMC Aviation Logistics background (Officer/Enlisted) preferred
Depth of knowledge on USMC H-1 maintenance and/or logistics experience/practices
Bachelor's degree preferred
High school diploma or GED with 15+ years of extensive logistical experience will be considered in lieu of bachelor's degree
