They are seeking a Quality Control Inspector II to perform thorough product inspections, ensure compliance with quality standards, and document inspection results while collaborating with the quality control team.

Responsibilities

Perform independent inspections, validations, and/or verifications of internal/external components to ensure compliance to Marvin Engineering processes, procedures, and contractual obligations. Inspect product using basic hand tools and bench inspection equipment interpreting basic GD&T

Visual inspection of mechanical assemblies, soldering, and paint finishes, in accordance to engineering requirements

Review non-destructive test documentation and supplier documentation in accordance with MEC Purchase Order

Generate inspection reports in accordance with MEC policy

Identify and segregate suspect non-conforming material and generate Quality Notification (QN) in accordance with MEC Policy

Perform first piece validations in support of all manufacturing areas

Witness and validate fastener applications. Including torque, rivets, sealants, etc

Support all QC areas including receiving inspection and In-Process Inspection

May be asked to perform higher level inspections while under supervision; exposure to 3D model aided inspection

Interface with suppliers and/or internal customers

May be asked to perform Source Inspections at supplier facilities

Required

High School graduate diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate

Certification in GD&T required and/or 3 years of basic GD&T inspection experience

Five years minimum experience as a QC inspector

Above average understanding of hardware blueprint reading (notes, features, views, tolerances, etc.) and knowledge of specifications and contractual requirements

Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal

Able to perform basic math skills

Detail-oriented and self-motivated

Able to work with others and be a team player

Must have a good attitude and willingness to learn

Able to perform basic computer tasks and have proficient typing skills

Ability to lift a minimum 35 lbs

Familiarity with SAP a plus

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
