Responsibilities
Learn the Sly product line and standards
Determine the required design parameters and specific needs for a given project through reading the customer specifications and/or through customer engagement
Establish the proper equipment selection, proper filter media, system design and ancillary equipment
Generate the proposal to the customer, including scope of work, design conditions, deliverables, pricing, technical and commercial exceptions, schedule, etc
Serve as Project Engineer/Project Manager for your proposals that become contracts
Provide backup support to Sales as needed
Build relationships with representatives, clients, and prospects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. Candidates with relevant work experience who are in the process of pursuing an Engineering degree will be considered
Experience quoting capital equipment, preferably air pollution control equipment
Technical competency with the ability to understand industrial equipment and process design
Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize cross-functional projects
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word
Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with multiple teams and individuals
Preferred
Dust collection experience is a plus
