Finance & Accounting Manager

Ohana AZ is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial transactions. The role involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and future responsibilities related to cash flow management and budgeting as the business grows.

Responsibilities

Accounts Payable: Process vendor invoices, maintain accurate vendor records, and process checks and ACH payments as needed. Work with CEO on a weekly basis to determine the payables for the period, ensuring timely payments. Review Ramp transactions to ensure compliance with assigned budgets
Accounts Receivable: Invoice customers for payments on a timely basis. Properly record incoming revenue, matching to the correct invoice. Follow up for non or short payments, following up on outstanding balances
Record Keeping: Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and adjustments. Update KPI’s on a timely basis. Record allowance receipts, pull and distribute allowances and/or petty cash. Maintain documentation and filing systems for financial records
Reconciling: Reconcile QuickBooks accounts monthly, including bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts
Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal and external (Local & Federal) policies and sound accounting practices
Financial Reporting: Prepare on a monthly basis; income statement, balance sheet, cash reconciliations, and other reports as required. Provide timely reports to the CEO on financial performance and trends
Analyzing: Identify discrepancies, variances, and potential issues in financial data
Internal Controls: Monitor and improve accounting procedures and internal controls. Create efficiencies within the department to facilitate proficiency and productivity. Evaluate use of financial tools and recommend efficiencies within QuickBooks or related systems
External Controls: Support external partners (tax preparers, banks) by providing accurate records and reports
Develop and maintain weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts
Assist in annual budget development; monitor actual vs. budget results
Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and business growth

Required

3–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or service-based environment
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks (required)
Solid understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices
Prior experience in accounts payable, reconciliations, and monthly close processes
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple deadlines
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret financial data
Excellent communication skills; able to explain financials clearly to non-finance leaders
Self-starter, resourceful, and eager to grow into expanded financial responsibilities
