Senior Corporate Applications Analyst (11838,Grade 28)
The Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission is seeking a Senior Corporate Applications Analyst to support their enterprise financial systems. This role involves providing functional and technical support, optimizing processes, and ensuring data integrity within the ERP finance system.

Responsibilities
Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements; evaluate current- and future-state processes to identify automation, efficiency, and compliance improvements
Design, develop, and maintain reports, analytics, and dashboards aligned with organizational goals and decision-making needs
Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and vendors; translate technical concepts into business-friendly terms and deliver training and knowledge-transfer sessions for end users and administrators
Write and optimize SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and reconcile data across integrated systems (e.g., ERP, UKG)
Analyze data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and optimization opportunities; develop, automate, and maintain scheduled and ad-hoc reports using BI tools and advanced Excel
Ensure data accuracy, testing, and documentation across systems and reports to support audit readiness and informed decision-making
Support and maintain ERP and enterprise application configurations, integrations, and enhancements in alignment with established governance standards
Execute change control processes, including test script development, regression testing, and post-deployment validation of system updates
Identify and assess risks related to system changes; maintain configuration, testing, and change documentation to ensure audit readiness and version control
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or any related field
Four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in business analysis or related experience that includes experience with functional software applications (e.g., enterprise financial, supply change management system, human resources information system), which includes configuration maintenance, troubleshooting training and end-user support
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted, which together total eight (8) years
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and high-volume workloads
Demonstrated professionalism, accountability, and discretion in a regulated public-sector environment
