Analyst, Equity Derivatives Sales
CIBC is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world, seeking talented professionals for their Equity Derivatives desk. The Analyst role involves assisting with corporate/macro analysis, trade ideas, and supporting senior sales in client coverage and trade execution.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Equity Derivatives and apply it to actionable trade ideas
Work with Research, Strategy, and Trading to help the desk generate content for Sales distribution
Help the team embrace technology that will lead to improvements in our daily workflow
Liaise with Trading to find risk sharing opportunities for our clients
Qualification
Required
Series 7 and 63 is required
Thorough understanding of the financial markets and market influences, including general current affairs
Ability to deal with the inherent conflict between the sales and trading functions and maintain a strong position in the face of opposition
Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clients and staff
Ability to relay complex news/developments in a concise/clear manner
Ability to work under pressure
