Responsibilities

Provide direct leadership and oversight to a team of production technicians
Champion and sustain a strong safety culture within the work cell
Drive quality, safety, schedule adherence, morale, and overall performance of the work cell
Support Root Cause/Corrective Action, PFMEA, and APQP processes to mitigate operational risks
Identify and address ergonomic and hazard concerns to reduce or eliminate safety risks
Collaborate on the design and setup of work cells using Lean manufacturing tools and principles
Enforce 5S principles to maintain a well-organized and clean work environment
Improve work area effectiveness by resolving process challenges and partnering with Manufacturing Engineers to address issues
Ensure the team is adequately staffed, trained, and aligned with operational schedules to maintain on-time delivery (OTD)
Communicate and enforce policies, practices, and procedures within the work cell
Coordinate materials and logistics problem resolutions to ensure smooth operations and availability of resources
Act as a liaison, communicating effectively with internal departments and external vendors as required

Required

Typically requires; Bachelor's degree and minimum 5 years of relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices
Supervisory experience in manufacturing industry
Experience in managing team and people in a fast pace environment
Experience in EH&S practices and Quality requirements
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
DoD Clearance: Secret

Preferred

Experience in composite material manufacturing
Background in new product introduction
Proficiency in PFMEA processes
Knowledge of crane and rigging operations
Experience in industrial engineering and the creation of standard work processes
Proven ability to create and execute training plans
