Responsibilities
Provide systems engineering support across the weapon system acquisition lifecycle
Conduct reviews of armament programs to evaluate alternative plans, designs, and system performance
Support management and sustainment of program technical baselines and system specifications
Prepare technical documentation defining system and subsystem characteristics
Perform system-level design reviews, validation activities, and engineering analyses
Analyze and evaluate results of major weapon system engineering efforts
Support risk management activities in accordance with AF SEAM processes
Conduct engineering trade studies evaluating performance, cost, schedule, risk, reliability, and maintainability
Provide technical recommendations, studies, audits, and analyses in support of program decisions
Support proposal evaluations, requirements analysis, and system requirements baseline development
Review and analyze approved system concepts, user requirements, and allocated/product baselines
Qualification
Required
Experience supporting DoD or Air Force acquisition and systems engineering programs
Knowledge of weapon systems engineering and acquisition processes
Experience conducting technical reviews, trade studies, and engineering analyses
Ability to work in classified and operational environments
BS IRD + 20 years RE; or
MS IRD + 15 years RE; or
PhD IRD + 5 years RE
Ability to work in classified and operational environments
