Responsibilities

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in EMI/EMC design
Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions
Ensure systems and equipment meet MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464 and other compliance requirements
Share extensive knowledge in the design and implementation of EMI/EMC controls, to include transient suppression, filter design, circuit board and flextape layout, cable shield design, equipment housing design and system grounding principles
Provide sound technical guidance in system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements, and further allocate to lower-level requirements
Consult/Lead reviews of technical schematics, drawings, plans and/or specifications
Oversee and support system technical performance measurement definition and tracking
Review and integrate work products developed by others
Provide regular mentorship / leadership to teams on EMI design topics

Required

Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and a minimum of 12 years of related experience; Master's Degree in STEM and a minimum of 10 years of related experience; PhD in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of related experience
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application with an investigation completed within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
8+ Experience working with MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464
Familiarity with E3 CDRLs including EMI/EMC control plans, E3 Integration and Analysis Reports, and E3 Verification Procedures and Reports
5+ year performing EMI design support/analysis for EMI critical design features
Experience leading EMI design efforts with integrated product teams (IPTs)
Ability to present EMI design recommendations to IPT leads, program boards, and customers
Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts in EMI/EMC design
Work on unusually complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions

Demonstrated ability to meet program technical, cost, and schedule milestones
Prior experience performing EMI/EMC design work on a missile program
Prior experience performing EMI/EMC design work on fixed ground installations
Prior experience in E3 related areas such as ESD, HERO, TEMPEST
Prior experience leading technical teams in support of program execution to meet cost and schedule
Experience in modeling EM effects using simulation tools such as Spice, MATLAB, ANSYS HFSS/EMA3D/Maxwell, CST, or other codes
