They are seeking a Data Center Technician to identify abandoned hardware, coordinate with owners, and ensure proper documentation and communication regarding equipment status.
Information Technology
Responsibilities
Identifying abandoned hardware in the DC and coordinating their DCOM
Getting a list of potential abandoned equipment from TMO
Identifying it in the DC then identifying the owner
Contacting the owner to establish if it’s needed or can be scheduled for DECOM
Dealing with internal TMO people and some outside customers
Sniffing out if it’s abandoned
Looking at the equipment around them to determine if it’s active or not
Adding it to the list if it is then discovering its owner
Being inquisitive with solid communication and documentation
