Responsibilities

Develop project plans with input from key stakeholders and ultimately seek formal approval from leadership

Incorporate quality control early in the project to ensure the produced product meets customer requirements and engineering standards

Track progress against approved project plan throughout the lifecycle of the project

Communicate effectively with the engineering team to ascertain progress, understand work being performed and develop plans to mitigate risks

Develop risk mitigation options when required to maintain cost and schedule, understand likelihood of occurrence and schedule impacts

Convey to leadership, at reasonable interval, overall progress, risks, plans to mitigate risks, and potential schedule impacts

Develop a risk registry, with input from engineers that correctly depicts the project landscape and includes impacts to cost and schedule

Initiate BCPs as required and solicit approval for recommended changes

Manage resource requirements, communicating gaps and needs to senior leadership to prevent issues with meeting program requirements

Generate presentation material to easily communicate project level details to leadership and customer as required
