Civil Engineer (Transportation)
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is looking for a dedicated civil engineer to join PennDOT District 9 and contribute to the state's transportation infrastructure. This role involves working on various highway, bridge, and multi-modal projects, ensuring quality and efficiency while collaborating with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive reviews of project plans and designs for highways, bridges, and multi-modal systems
Develop scopes of work, manage consultant selection processes, and collaborate with external partners
Analyze proposals, assess consultant qualifications, and identify potential project challenges
Work effectively with internal and external teams to ensure project clarity and success
Qualification
Required
Successful completion of the Civil Engineer Trainee training program (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Four years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an engineer-in-training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists, and an associate's degree in civil engineering technology or a closely related engineering discipline; or
Five years of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and an Engineer-in-Training certificate issued by or acceptable to the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists; or
One year of civil engineering experience in the appropriate specialty, and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a closely related engineering discipline
This position requires possession of a valid driver's license
