Responsibilities
Underwrite FHA, VA, and Conventional loans with precision and speed
Review credit, income, assets, and full documentation for accuracy
Collaborate with internal teams to finalize approvals and resolve conditions
Manage volume efficiently: 2–3 initial files and 6–8 final approvals daily
Ensure compliance with investor and agency standards (FHA, HUD, VA, IRRRL, SAR, TrumsID)
Qualification
Required
3+ years of mortgage underwriting (FHA preferred)
DE or SAR required
Familiarity with automated underwriting systems
Preferred
Experience with Encompass and Excel
Knowledge of FHA, VA, and Conventional guidelines
CHUMS, LAPP, SAR designations a plus
Strong communication and documentation review skills
