Responsibilities
Overseeing rack movements as 'Rack Movement Supervisors'
In charge of overseeing a process of the delivery - techs must be assertive and display leadership qualities
Responsible for unloading, palatizing and supervising the work to ensure that it is done efficiently
Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations
Leverage process knowledge and best judgment to complete next task without direct supervision
Coordinate, prepare, and execute incoming/outgoing deliveries (e.g. purchase order (PO) receiving, Rack Movement Supervisor (RMS) activities)
Ensure complete and detailed physical inventory tracking and staging
Perform inventory cycle audits, data corrections, and various Data Center regulatory compliance or certification control audit activity
Perform material movement, including shipping/receiving and inventory management per standard process
Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging
Perform destruction of data bearing devices (DBD) following all documented procedures and runbooks
Organize and manage storage areas to ensure efficient retrieval and deployment of equipment
Coordinate the transportation of hardware between different data center locations
Track and document the movement of equipment using inventory management systems
Assist with the disposal of outdated or decommissioned hardware following proper protocols
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma AND 2+ years experience warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field
Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Previous experience working in a data center environment
