Responsibilities

Develop targeted outreach strategies to connect with veterans, students, interns, retirees, and any other identified targeted specialty groups
Leverage various channels, including social media, networking events, career fairs, and community partnerships, to enhance outreach efforts
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Professional Associations, Alumni Networks, Cultural and Sensitivity Groups, Local Meetup Groups, Online Forums and Communities, Networking Events, Social Media Groups, Local Business Chambers, Nonprofit Organizations, Cultural and Community Centers and Job Fairs
Act as a brand ambassador, representing the City of Dallas in a positive light to prospective candidates and foster internal and external professional relationships
Proactively source and identify candidates with cultural sensitivity backgrounds from the targeted specialty groups
Utilize innovative sourcing methods to tap into niche talent pools
Partner with hiring managers to understand the specific needs of each department and develop tailored recruitment strategies
Provide guidance on best practices for attracting and retaining talent from cultural sensitive backgrounds
Advocate for cultural and sensitivity within the City of Dallas, promoting a cultural sensitivity workplace for all employees
Collaborate with HR and leadership to develop and implement cultural sensitivity in our recruiting and selection initiatives
Participate in community events and initiatives to enhance the City of Dallas’ visibility and reputation within the targeted specialty groups
Establish the company as an employer of choice for individuals within these communities
Track and analyze recruitment metrics related to targeted specialty groups to assess the effectiveness of the outreach strategies and initiatives
Provide regular reports and insights to leadership on outreach cultural sensitivity recruitment efforts
Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned

Required

Strong knowledge of cultural sensitivity best practices
Knowledge of basic human resource principles, laws, and regulations
Knowledge of laws and regulations related to cultural sensitivity
Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and other programs
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships with external organizations and community groups
Ability to make independent decisions and exercise sound judgment
Ability to compile, write, and present reports related to program or administrative specialty
Ability to provide strong customer service skills
Ability to effectively use computer programs and systems
Ability to be driven and self-motivated with exceptional communication and follow up skills to recruit the best talent in the shortest time frame
Ability to be driven and self-motivated
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business
Three (3) years of experience performing human resources functions, including recruitment and outreach activities

Preferred

Experience engaging with diverse communities is preferred
Bilingual language skills in English and Spanish are highly preferred
