Associate Director/Director, Patient Advocacy, LGMD

Responsibilities
Build and maintain productive, long-term relationships with global LGMD patient advocacy organizations, community leaders, and patient representatives through thoughtful, compliant engagement
Represent BridgeBio at key LGMD and neuromuscular advocacy meetings, conferences, and community events
Develop and execute global LGMD patient advocacy engagement plans aligned with program milestones and organizational priorities
Contribute patient and caregiver insights to cross-functional planning and decision-making
Inspire and reinforce a patient-first culture by communicating the voice of patients and caregivers internally, including patient insights, unmet needs, and lived experience
Support the appropriate use of patient stories, imagery, and insights across internal materials and activities
Serve as the primary patient advocacy liaison to Medical Affairs, Communications, Marketing, Clinical Development, and other internal partners to ensure coordinated, accurate, and patient-centered external engagement
Partner with internal teams on educational initiatives and patient-facing materials, including review and development of lay-appropriate content as needed
Manage patient advocacy organization grant and sponsorship activities for LGMD in collaboration with Legal and Compliance, ensuring transparency and adherence to company policies
Collaborate with Communications and Marketing to support appropriate social media and digital engagement strategies that reflect patient community needs and values
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree (or higher); a post-graduate degree is valued
5 years in an external-facing role (industry, nonprofit, clinical, etc.); experience working in a healthcare or nonprofit setting preferred
Demonstrated ability to build relationships with patient advocates, professional associations, or other stakeholders is required
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills are required; the candidate should be flexible, personable, and able to easily collaborate with colleagues and advocates
The ability to travel up to 50% domestically (primarily on weekends) is required. Must have easy access to a major international airline travel hub

Experience working in a healthcare or nonprofit setting preferred
