Research Support Specialist - IDEX
The University of South Florida Libraries is seeking a Research Support Specialist to assist with research administrative support and technical assignments for contract or grant funded projects. The role involves managing digital preservation projects, digitizing artifacts, and collaborating with various organizations on heritage initiatives.

Responsibilities
Plan and manage digital preservation projects involving photography, 3D scanning, LiDAR, and structured light technologies
Digitize artifacts, archival documents, and museum collections in accordance with professional archival and conservation standards (e.g., NEDCC best practices)
Produce and process high-quality digital assets using tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Artec Studio, and Agisoft Metashape
Supervise project teams, volunteers, or student assistants and coordinate workflows, schedules, and deliverables
Develop and maintain physical and digital archives, including metadata creation and documentation
Collaborate with museums, universities, law enforcement, and cultural organizations on local and international heritage initiatives
Present research findings through academic conferences, public talks, and digital platforms
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience
Higher education may substitute for the experience
Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree
Two years of direct experience for an associate degree
Six years of direct experience for a master's degree
Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree
Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310
