Software Engineer
Team Red Dog is looking for a Software Engineer to support a Fortune 100 technology leader, contributing to Windows 11 audio certification and system-level testing. The role involves diagnosing audio certification failures, developing test content, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure high-quality audio experiences across the Windows ecosystem.

Responsibilities
Diagnose and resolve audio certification failures reported by external partners and escalation engineers
Create test errata to overturn incorrect partner test failures
Develop and improve Audio HLK test content
Execute certification test passes for audio hardware and drivers
Ensure Microsoft audio drivers pass certification requirements
Improve internal debugging and diagnostic tools to increase testing efficiency
Participate in system software validation and post-implementation testing
Qualification
Required
C++ programming experience (minimum 3 years), used for system-level development, test content fixes, and tool enhancements within Windows certification frameworks
Windows device driver development experience (minimum 3 years), supporting audio drivers and ensuring successful certification outcomes across partner hardware
Advanced debugging on Windows (minimum 4 years), diagnosing complex system-level failures using internal tools and low-level troubleshooting techniques
Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical field
5–7 years of professional software engineering experience
Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
Experience developing and debugging large-scale system software
Proven ability to troubleshoot both new and legacy production systems
Hands-on experience with unit testing, problem diagnosis, and resolution
Minimum 3 years of professional C++ programming experience
Preferred
Deep experience with Windows internals, device drivers, and audio or media technologies
Strong investigative skills and the ability to independently diagnose complex system-level issues
Experience working directly with certification processes and collaborating with hardware partners
