Automation Engineer - Manufacturing

The ideal candidate will design and optimize automation solutions for manufacturing processes, collaborating with teams to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities
Design, implement, and optimize automation solutions for manufacturing processes, including extrusion and injection molding operations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
Develop and maintain PLC programs, robotic systems, and automated equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues to minimize downtime
Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements throughout all automation projects
Analyze production data to identify trends and implement corrective actions
Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
1-3+ years of experience in manufacturing automation
Knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, robotics, sensors, and control systems
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa
Preferred
Experience in extrusion and injection molding environments is helpful but not required
Familiarity with CAD software and mechanical design principles
Experience with process optimization and continuous improvement tools
