Visual Merchandising Manager
Creative Circle is seeking a Visual Merchandising Manager for the Factory Outlet Channel, responsible for developing visual merchandising strategies across North America. The role involves planning in-store layouts, creating product placement guidelines, and ensuring alignment with brand strategies while acting as a brand ambassador.
Responsibilities
The majority of the work will be creating Visual directives and communications to the field
Plan and create in-store VM layouts and monthly floorset plans for seasonal assortments in all Factory Outlet store locations, considering store formats and design differences. Guidelines will be based on Global VM guidance, considering regional differences as needed within each store format
Develop presentation strategies supporting key stories and franchises across all Factory stores
Provide overall layout and zoning direction, including fixture and mannequin positioning
Responsible for briefing on all creative needs and organizing store distribution lists to the Creative and Operations team
Work with retail design on fixture needs or updates to support product launches and new store openings
Travel as needed to new store openings to offer visual merchandising support and training onsite
Responsible for creating and implementing Visual Merchandising standard guidelines for the Factory Outlet channel
Effectively manage and deliver visual projects on time in a fast-paced retail environment
Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring brand strategies are seamlessly integrated across the Factory Outlet Channel
Maintain focus on the consumer target, competition, and current trends relevant to the brand, ensuring a consumer-centric approach in planning
Possess a clear understanding of Brand guidelines and their adaptation for consumer-facing channels
Leverage data, sell-thru results, and key investments to inform presentation strategies
Responsible for reporting monthly Visual Merchandising recaps on Zone Performance within the Factory Outlet channel
Collaborate with NA Merchandising teams to create brand-led presentation strategies driving commercial results
Build effective cross-functional working relationships, influencing and collaborating seamlessly
Train and develop teams on Brand aesthetic and VM practices
Evaluate, evolve, and adapt processes as necessary to navigate the ever-changing climate
Qualification
Required
5+ years of retail visual merchandising and retail design experience, with 2-3 years at the regional corporate level
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in fashion design, visual merchandising, or retail marketing/management
Proficiency with PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator); SketchUp; 3D rendering skills preferred
Ability to visualize and articulate concepts for 3D environments; will utilize VM software programs (e.g., IWD)
Excellent taste level in merchandising, styling, fixture design, store layout, and directives
Strong at working independently; capable of creating trust, collaboration, and teamwork; always displaying a strong sense of ethics and integrity
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment
20% travel required to support new store openings and market visits
Extensive knowledge of fashion, design, and visual merchandising trends
